CoinSir is an information-only SaaS service that processes and delivers publicly available market data from Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Kraken. We do not buy, sell, exchange, transfer, store, or manage virtual assets in any way. This Refund Policy is written in accordance with the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (the "E-Commerce Act") and supplements Section 6 (Payment and Subscription) of the Terms of Service. Where the two documents conflict, the provision more favourable to the user prevails.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Korean E-Commerce Act)

Article 17(1) of the Korean E-Commerce Act gives users a 7-day right of withdrawal from the date of payment. However, Article 17(2)(5) of the same Act permits this right to be restricted once a service or digital content has been used. CoinSir's paid products (Pro monthly subscription, Founder's Lifetime) both qualify as digital content/SaaS under this provision.

Accordingly, CoinSir implements the withdrawal right as follows — (1) For Pro monthly subscriptions, a 100% refund is granted within 7 days only if no alerts have been received (i.e., the service has not been used). Once alerts have been delivered, the per-day prorated refund in Section 2 applies. (2) For Founder's Lifetime, the same 7-day withdrawal applies, followed by a separate 30-Day Service Guarantee in Section 3 — a 100% refund if a Company-fault event (outage, SLA breach, etc.) occurs within 30 days of purchase. See Sections 2 and 3 below for product-specific terms.

2. Pro Monthly Subscription

USD $19 / month · auto-renewing (Creem)
  • Within 7 days of payment + zero alerts received after payment: 100% refund (digital content not yet used — Article 17 withdrawal applies)
  • Within 7 days of payment + at least 1 alert received: prorated refund ($19 × remaining days ÷ 30). Alerts already delivered count as the service being used, so 100% refund is not available
  • After 7 days, up to 50% of the cycle elapsed: prorated refund ($19 × remaining days ÷ 30)
  • After more than 50% of the cycle has elapsed: no refund for the remaining period; auto-renewal cancellation for the next cycle is still available
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for ToS violation are not eligible for refunds
  • Auto-renewal cancellation (stopping the next cycle) can be requested from the dashboard or by email at any time. The already-paid current cycle remains active until its end
ExampleExample ① — 5 days after payment, 0 alerts received: 100% refund ($19). Example ② — 5 days after payment, 1+ alerts received: $19 × (30 − 5) ÷ 30 ≈ $15.83 refunded. Example ③ — 12 days after payment (past 7 days, under 50%): $19 × (30 − 12) ÷ 30 ≈ $11.40 refunded, regardless of alert count. Example ④ — 20 days after payment (over 50%): no refund; you may still cancel auto-renewal for the next cycle.

3. Founder's Lifetime

USD $249 · one-time payment · first 150 seats only

Founder's Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no auto-renewal. To let users buy with confidence, CoinSir offers the following refund protections, following the «Service Guarantee» model commonly used by SaaS Lifetime products (Adobe, Microsoft, JetBrains, etc.):

  • Within 7 days of purchase + zero alerts received: 100% refund (digital content not yet accessed — Article 17 withdrawal right under the Korean E-Commerce Act)
  • If even a single alert was received — even within 7 days of purchase: the alert is deemed to mark the start of digital content use, so the purchase is not eligible for a refund by withdrawal, and is refundable only if a Company-fault event defined in Section 3-2 occurs
  • Within 30 days of purchase, if any Company-fault event defined in Section 3-2 occurs: 100% refund (CoinSir 30-Day Service Guarantee)
  • After 30 days, if a Company-fault event occurs: prorated refund under the residual-value formula in Section 3-4
  • The campaign is limited to the first 150 buyers; sales close immediately when the cap is reached
  • The Company reserves the right to run different campaigns in the future (anniversaries, expanded packages, bundles, etc.) offering other forms of lifetime licenses, but will not resell the same package at the same price
  • Lifetime licenses are limited to one account per buyer and are non-transferable

3-2. Company-Fault Events (Service Guarantee triggers)

A Company-fault event is recognized only when one of the following occurs AND remains unresolved by the time the refund is requested. Temporary, recoverable outages do not qualify:

  • Shutdown of the CoinSir service, or permanent discontinuation of the core feature (price alert delivery)
  • All-exchange alert delivery has been unavailable for 14+ consecutive days due to a cause within the Company's reasonable control, and remains unresolved at the time of the refund request
  • At least half of the Pro-tier core features promised at purchase (alert delivery, exchange data ingestion, alert configuration) have been unusable for 30+ days and remain unresolved at the time of the refund request
  • A substantive change in service — not anticipated in the Terms — that renders features available at the time of purchase unusable. Simple UI updates, feature improvements, or new feature additions do not qualify
Refund requests based on reasons outside the list above (simple change of mind, mismatched expectations, market conditions, short-term outages, etc.) are not covered by the Service Guarantee. The Company may, at its discretion, approve out-of-policy refunds (e.g., special personal circumstances) on a case-by-case basis.

3-3. Service Guarantee Exclusions

The following do NOT constitute Company-fault events and are not covered by the Service Guarantee:

  • Scheduled or emergency maintenance (announced in advance or within 24 hours after the fact)
  • Normal operational activities — bug fixes, feature improvements, performance tuning, UI changes, new feature additions, etc.
  • Temporary disruptions caused by an exchange (Binance, Bybit, OKX, Kraken) — API changes, exchange outages, exchange policy changes
  • Outages of third-party services beyond the Company's control — cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Cloudflare, etc.), networks, DNS, SSL certificate authorities, payment processors (Creem, etc.)
  • Force majeure — government regulation, legal changes, natural disasters, war, terrorism, cyber attacks (including DDoS), and other events outside the Company's control
  • Temporary outages that the Company has already resolved through reasonable effort before the refund request was filed. Refund requests filed after resolution are treated as simple change-of-mind cases
Residual-value formula3-4. Residual-value formula — when a refund is granted after 30 days due to a Company-fault event, the number of months between purchase and the event is converted at the Pro monthly rate ($19/month) and deducted from the original payment. Example: $249 paid, service shut down after 8 months → $249 − ($19 × 8) = $97 refunded. If the result is negative, the refund amount is $0.

4. Basic Beta (Free)

During the beta period prior to general availability, the Basic plan is offered free of charge. No payment is collected, so refunds do not apply. The Basic plan may transition to a paid plan at general availability; users will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email and in-app announcement. Beta participants may receive specific benefits (e.g., early-adopter discounts), to be announced separately at launch.

5. How to Request a Refund

You may use either of the following methods. Both are processed identically.

Method ① — From your dashboard (recommended)

Log in → Dashboard → Billing history → click the 'Request refund' button on the payment item you want refunded. The system automatically attaches the invoice_number and payment details.

Method ② — By email

Email hello@coinsir.net from the address associated with your account, including: (1) payment receipt number or Creem order ID, (2) account email, (3) reason for the refund (optional, for analytics).

  • We review and respond within 5 business days
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Creem and typically arrive within 7–14 business days (may be delayed by the payment processor or bank)
  • Any payment-processor refund fees are borne by the Company and not deducted from your refund
  • If a refund is denied, the reason is stated in the reply email; you may request a re-review under Section 7 of this policy

6. When Refunds May Be Restricted or Denied

  • Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of the Terms
  • Falsified information, stolen payment credentials, or fraudulent refund attempts
  • For Pro monthly subscriptions: (a) the 100% refund when at least 1 alert has been received after payment — prorated refund remains available / (b) the remaining period after more than 50% of the cycle has been used
  • Content provided without payment (Basic beta free usage, etc.)
  • Founder's Lifetime refunds requested after the 7-day withdrawal window for reasons not attributable to the Company (mere change of mind, mismatched expectations, market conditions — not covered by the Service Guarantee)
  • Re-requests for the same refund that has already been denied at least once, without new supporting evidence

7. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with the outcome of a refund request, the following options are available. We actively try to reach an agreement at the re-review step.

  • Step 1 — Request a re-review by contacting customer support (hello@coinsir.net). Attaching supporting evidence (transaction history, outage timestamps, etc.) speeds up review
  • Step 2 — File a dispute mediation request with the Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr / 1372) or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Resolution Committee under KISA (www.ecmc.or.kr)
  • Step 3 — Litigation in the competent court under Korean civil procedure law (the court of the user's domicile or the Company's principal place of business)
Users residing outside Korea may have additional consumer-protection rights under their local law; nothing in this policy limits those rights. EU/EEA residents may invoke EU consumer-protection law; U.S. residents may invoke applicable state consumer-protection law.
